Angel Cafe is a partnership between St John’s and Angel Cafe run by Mick and Brionnie Haselden and a dedicated team of local volunteers.
The cafe runs on Thursday and Friday mornings from 9am-2pm and is a friendly and welcoming space for everyone. There is a secure dedicated baby area with toys and equipment as well as a regular reading time for children.
The cafe seeks to be a hub for Church Ministry where people can get connected and resourced with other groups, courses and support whatever their life stage or specific needs.
To find out more or to volunteer please visit the Angel Cafe website or come along on a Thursday or Friday mornings to have a conversation with Mick or Brionnie in person.
St John’s supports the Forget-me-not Café charity that meets once a month in the Church Centre Family Room. Through “Companionship over a cuppa” the Café seeks to be a safe, friendly and supportive environment for those with dementia, memory loss and cognitive issues also welcoming carers and family members.
The cafe provides a vital support network for those who attend and is led by Julie Rhodes and a team of hardworking, dedicated volunteers.
